Price Changes Begin June 7th, 2021
Dear NCD Customers,
We sincerely thank all of you for supporting us through the pandemic and beyond. Our 25th year set records for NCD product releases and factory upgrades, which helped us meet the manufacturing challenges of 2020. Last year, we stocked an unprecedented number of components in anticipation of parts shortages and supply chain scalping. Early in 2021, we re-doubled our efforts to further stockpile critical parts to help mitigate component shortages.
What we did not anticipate was the level of growth we experienced in 2020 extending into 2021 with some weeks approaching the consumption of 50,000 components (approximately 1/6th of our manufacturing capacity). Our component stockpiles are depleting rapidly to meet customer demand for high volumes of NCD products. As a result, NCD is forced to purchase additional components at higher prices to meet manufacturing demand. In the worst cases, it will be necessary for us to put some devices on backorder indefinitely as we work to obtain component stock. As a result of severe component shortages and price increases, select NCD products will increase in price effective Monday, June 7th, 2021.
Price Increases will apply to NCD Relay Controller and IoT Rapid Development product lines as well as select custom products manufactured specifically for individual customers. NCD Enterprise products will not be altered at this time. We encourage our customers to lock in their orders prior to the June 7th price increase in an effort to take advantage of current prices.
